To commemorate the first measurable snow in Owosso, Michigan this season, I give you the haiku “Snowbound.”

Just an inch of snow  
Which melts unless Hell freezes
It lay until March

From Molly the Australian Shepherd, who rarely poses or smiles for a picture, she gives you her Halloween party haiku, “I Am Batman.”

I celebrate me
Passive Riddler and Joker
Under my control

Lastly, Molly gives you “Alpha.”

My canine nature
To either kill or love you
Life is not your own
